Walnut Creek Conference and COFM Meeting in November
In November I will be attending the Walnut Creek Presbyterian Church mission conference. In the past few months I have been in touch with a number of members at the church and learned that WCPC has been cooperating with Children of Faith Missions (COFM) who have initiated an orphanage in India. Their desire is to create a much needed school for families in the area in order to create additional funds to help the orphanage TeachBeyond is investigating how we can assist them in this project by providing staff and counsel. COFM's goals coincide very well those of TeachBeyond.
Our desire is that our schools can not only help develop excellent students, but also influence their families and the community for Christ. I am very encouraged with WCPC's vision for COFM. Pray for during the coming months that we can develop a long lasting partnership that for will be an encouragement to the orphanage and to their community. WCPC has stood with Cynthia and me in missions for over three decades, and we are very thankful for the many friends we have in this church family.
Calvary Community Church Conference
October 18th and 19th I will be attending the Calvary Community Church in Williams Bay, WI, for their yearly missions conference. This church has supported us for many years. They have sent church members to serve at the Black Forest Academy in Kandern, Germany, and have sent work teams to the school as well. Pray for a wonderful reunion with this faithful church family and for reconnecting with many good friends.
